I'm Brennan,

an engineer who loves learning new things and trying to do my best in the world.

As a resident of planet Earth and follower of the Christian faith, I believe I have a personal responsibility to care for people and the planet, both professionally in what I do for a living and personally in how my life affects others. Engineering provides a way for me to do that in my career and beyond by using what I know to impact and improve the world we live in. I'm far from perfect, but I try my best.

I spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal working in agroforestry where I saw first-hand the impact of deforestation and climate change on the planet and the people who live there. Through close relationships with the community I lived in and worked with, we are continuing our work to plant more trees, both for the environment and to improve the livelihoods of farmers and their families.

Much of my free time is spent learning new skills and working on projects in the coding and electronics realms. In addition to Python, which I use in my professional work for data analysis, I experiment with HTML, CSS, Javascript, Django, and C. Away from the computer, I enjoy photography, reading, board games, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
